YONDER STAR
YONDER STAR’S generous proportions reflect the designer’s intent to create a gracious residence at sea. Designed by naval architect Don Brooke, this 87’ ketch was scrupulously renovated by New Zealand craftsmen in 2003, following a complete rebuild in 1999.
Topside her teak decks are open and uncluttered. Soft cockpit seating invites relaxation and open-air dining. Below decks, varnished mahogany, polished brass and sumptuous fabrics convey a sense of warmth and sophistication. The pilothouse with 360’ views, serves as both a navigation station as well as a popular living and dining space. Forward of the pilothouse is an inviting open-plan saloon, with a comfortable living area to port and dining suite to starboard. Accommodation is in a capacious master cabin with ensuite aft, while forward there are two well-appointed guest cabins with private bathrooms.
If there’s wind to be found, and an exhilarating sail is what you’re after, YONDER STAR will happily oblige. The Captain is equally willing to share his expertise with an aspiring sailor or turn over the helm to a fellow salt. While if sheer relaxation is what you’re after, YONDER STAR offers plenty of space, in sun or shade, below decks or above.
