The best months for yacht charter in Tonga are between April and September when SE Trade Winds (15 - 25 knots) predominate. From January to March, in the “hot wet season” the wind becomes more variable and humidity and rainfall increases and cyclones can sometimes occur in these months.

The average daytime temperature hovers around 25 - 26C between May and September. It rises to 29C October through April and humidity is highest in January and February. The average sea temperature is 25C.
