Gulets |
Gulet Charter YachtsSailing on a gulet in Turkey and Croatia with a group of friends and family is one of the most popular and authentic travel experiences you can enjoy. You'll bring home memories of sitting around the aft deck dining table enjoying local food and wines, exploring coastal fishing villages and historic sites, and if you've think stubbed your toe on Cleapatra's bathhouse today .... you probably have! Gulets are wooden motor sailing vessels, the modern version of the ancient cargo bearing craft which used to trade along the coast of Turkey. The original design has evolved into a comfortable cruising vessel with accommodation for groups from 6-16, and crews of up to 6. Most have cabins with ensuites showers and toilets, and plenty of headroom. Guests usually dine around a large table, on the aft deck, although all gulets have indoor dining areas too. Sun awnings provide shade and there is ample space for everyone on the cushioned sundecks. Some gulets carry more equipment than others, but all have safety equipment, VHF radio/telephone, mobile telephone, radio/cassette player, dinghy with outboard motor, canoe, snorkelling and fishing equipment, ice boxes, refrigeration and hot water. |
