Phuket to Langkawi one way sailing holiday

An eastern escape like no other. These two Islands are like bookends for a chain of smaller islands taking you to the most enchanting of spots, each with their own flavour and character.

Clear waters provide for some good snorkeling over reefs of abundant small fish, identify the many birds, butterflies. monkeys, lizards and all sorts of diverse wildlife. Visit coastal forest parks and take excursions to points of cultural interest, dine on fresh fish at a beach BBQ and watch the sun go down behind your boat anchored in the bay or dine silver service at one of the many resorts. Asia is a low cost destination with good travel links to most parts of the world and is only now being developed to its full potential as a yachting destination. Forget any preconceptions you have of Asia, the outer islands will surprise you.

A one way sailing holiday can be approached in either direction depending on the wind and time of year. In the months from November to April the wind is from the North East shifting to the South East for the alternate six months. The total passage is about 130 miles so is achievable in a week but 2 weeks is recommended.
