About Yacht Charters in New Caledonia

Most people’s ideal paradise is the Isle of Pines, a 2-day windward sail south of Noumea, far from the commercial world. The passage is for the adventurous more experienced sailor.

Avoid the windward beat and fly to the Isle of Pines. Embark aboard your charter yacht in one of the sheltered sandy bays of Kuto and Kanamera, and you’re ready to dive Gadgi Bay (magnificent coral sculptures), dine on famous lobsters at a local restaurant, climb Pic N’ga nearby to see the sunrise, or take a picnic on Brush Island. Sail pirogues with the locals in Upi, explore the dried riverbed of Oro, and a swim in the fabulous blue waterhole.

Spinnaker sail downwind to Noumea, stopping overnight at the “Turtle Club”, for that last BBQ under the stars.

Climate

Cooled by the surrounding Pacific Ocean and refreshing tradewinds, New Caledonia enjoys a semi-tropical climate marked by two seasons. A warm, humid season from October to March and a cooler, dry season between April and September. Known as the 'land of the eternal spring', New Caledonia's climate allows swimming and sunbathing all year round. Sunrise is between 6 -7.00 am and sunset between 5 - 6.00 pm. Sailing is all-year round, but best months for your yacht charter are between September and November.

Navigation

The Isle of Pines is a two-day windward sail south of Noumea and for bareboat yacht charters, the passage is for the adventurous more experienced sailor. Choose to have a skipper (and perhaps a hostess as well). Fly to the Isle of Pines and have your charter yacht delivered to Baie de Kuto, ready for your holiday cruise in the largest lagoon in the world.  Enjoy the downwind sail back to Noumea or likewise have your charter yacht re-delivered to Noumea.
