What are the typical charter check-in and check-out procedures?
Check-in usually begins from 5:00 PM. This is the time the base allows to prepare your yacht—cleaning, fueling, and completing any necessary maintenance. We recommend arriving earlier in the day if possible. You can leave your bags at the designated area and use the time to get your bearings. The base staff will let you know when your yacht is ready and invite you for the briefing and handover.
During check-in, you’ll:
- Meet the local base team
- Receive a detailed yacht orientation, covering onboard systems and safety gear
- Walk through a joint inspection of the boat’s condition
- Discuss your proposed itinerary and get local weather updates and navigation advice
Check-out typically takes place at 9:00 AM on your final day. The base team will inspect the yacht for any damage or inventory changes, refuel if required, and complete the handover documentation. To allow time for this, most guests return to the base the night before.
We’ll guide you through these procedures and make sure you’re fully prepared—so you can enjoy a smooth, confident start and finish to your sailing holiday.
