Yacht Charter FAQs

What are the highlights of a Koh Samui sailing itinerary?

A Koh Samui yacht charter provides access to some of the most attractive islands in the central Gulf of Thailand.

Ang Thong Marine National Park is a particular highlight. This protected archipelago comprises dozens of limestone islands rising steeply from the sea, with forested slopes, secluded beaches and striking viewpoints. The scenery is quite different from the more gently contoured islands elsewhere in the Gulf.

Koh Phangan offers an appealing mixture of beaches, bays and coastal villages. Although famous for its Full Moon Party, much of the island retains a quieter atmosphere, particularly away from the principal tourism centres.

Further north, Koh Tao is renowned for its underwater environment and is a popular destination for snorkelling and diving. Its bays and surrounding waters provide attractive opportunities to explore, subject to conditions.

A week-long charter can include several of these highlights, although reaching Koh Tao and allowing sufficient time at Ang Thong may require some careful itinerary planning. The best route will depend on prevailing winds, the yacht, available time and your group's interests.

For many charterers, the combination of Ang Thong's dramatic scenery, Koh Phangan's beaches and Koh Tao's marine attractions provides an especially varied sailing holiday.
