What happens if there’s a problem with the boat during our trip?
Problems on a charter are rare, but should something go wrong, rest assured you're not on your own. At Sail Connections, we only work with established, reputable operators who maintain their fleets to high standards. Before recommending a charter, we satisfy ourselves the boats are fit for purpose, and the base teams are operating to the highest levels of professionalism. It's our reputation at stake!
If an issue arises during your trip, whether it’s mechanical, electrical, or equipment-related—help is just a phone call away. All operators we work with have local support teams on standby to provide prompt assistance, whether that means repairs at your anchorage or arranging for a replacement vessel if necessary.
We stay in contact too. As your broker, we're here to advocate on your behalf and liaise with the operator if needed. Our role doesn’t stop once you board. With over 30 years in the business, we know how important backup support is when you're out on the water.
Sailing holidays should be about relaxation, not stress. That’s why we ensure everything is well organised before you go, and why we’re still available if anything unexpected arises once you're under sail.
