Yacht Charter FAQs

What’s included in the cost of a Croatian sailing holiday charter?

The cost of a Croatian bareboat sailing holiday is promarily the yacht charter itself, but there are several components and extras to be aware of when budgeting your trip. At Sail Connections, we provide a detailed quote that outlines exactly what is and isn’t included, with no hidden surprises.

Included in most bareboat charter quotes and prices:

  • Exclusive use of the yacht for the duration of the charter
  • Standard onboard equipment (GPS, dinghy, navigation tools, safety gear)
  • Basic linen and kitchenware
  • Final cleaning (sometimes included, sometimes an extra - varies by operator)
  • 24/7 support from the charter base during your cruise

Not typically included (but commonly added):

  • Outboard engine for the dinghy
  • Skipper, hostess, or crew if required
  • Fuel used during the trip (usually paid at the end of the charter)
  • Marina and mooring fees
  • Tourist tax (usually around €1.30 per person per day)
  • Provisioning (groceries and dining)
  • Security deposit or insurance waiver
  • Optional extras such as SUP and other water toys

Some operators offer “comfort packages” that bundle cleaning, linen, outboard, and WiFi. We’ll explain your options and make sure you know what to expect before you set sail.

We tailor every quote based on your crew size, destination, and preferences to ensure a clear breakdown of inclusions and any optional extras so you can plan with confidence.
