Yacht Charter FAQs

When is the best time to charter in The Bahamas?

December to April is peak season for a Bahanas boat charter. Shoulder months like May and November also offer great sailing conditions, and better value.

The sailing season in The Bahamas extends year-round, but most charters take place from December through April, when the weather is dry and the trade winds are steady. These months offer the most comfortable conditions and are particularly popular with North American and European travellers escaping winter.

May/early June and November can offer excellent shoulder-season conditions for a relaxing sailing holiday in teh Bahanas. Locations are less crowded and usually more affordable. Hurricane season officially runs from June to November, but storms are tracked well in advance and are relatively rare in the central Bahamas.

We’ll advise you on the best timing based on your preferred itinerary and risk tolerance.
