Yacht Charter FAQs

When is the sailing season in the Mediterranean?

The Mediterranean sailing season generally runs from April to October, offering a variety of conditions to suit different preferences:

  • April to May (Shoulder Season): Ideal for travellers looking to avoid the crowds. Expect mild temperatures, quieter harbours, and good sailing conditions.
  • June to August (High Season): The height of summer brings hot weather, calm seas, and vibrant coastal destinations. This is the most popular time to sail, especially for families and holidaymakers.
  • September to October (Late Season): Still warm and settled, with fewer tourists. This period offers excellent sailing conditions and often better value than peak season.

Outside these months, most Mediterranean charter fleets wind down due to cooler weather and reduced demand, although some southern destinations may extend their season into early November.
