Discover the Bay of Islands on 'Denim,' a 38ft Elliott 1150 Tourer monohull that redefines charter boat space with three double cabins and an open-plan saloon/galley. Experience seamless indoor-outdoor living, perfect for New Zealand conditions, offering comfort and stunning views on your charter adventure.
Step aboard Denim, a design in keeping with the Tourer yacht concept (aka Deck Saloon concept) that redefines the modern yachting experience. Denim's wide hull form maximizes space and comfort, setting a new standard for charter adventures.
Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Living Aboard
Denim's exterior is designed for pure enjoyment. The transom effortlessly drops down to a spacious swim platform, perfect for sunbathing or easy water access. A cockpit shower, complete with boutique Alix washes, offers a refreshing rinse after a dip, while a fold-out table is ready for your BBQ or bait board. Moving around is a breeze with easy access to decks on both sides of the dual wheels. The large bimini provides ample shade for the cockpit, where there is seating for six surrounds with refreshments in easy reach from the cockpit fridge.
Inside, the saloon comfortably seats six around a generous dining table. The galley is a joy to use, featuring a 3-burner gas oven and an underbench fridge/freezer – perfect for whipping up delicious meals on the go.
Comfortable and Thoughtful Accommodation
Denim offers versatile sleeping arrangements with two quarter-berth cabins aft and amaster forward. The quarter-berths provide ample double-bed space for adult couples or a cozy retreat for kids, with their own power plugs for charging devices.
A step down leads to two luxurious wet spaces: a large, separate toilet room with an electric toilet and an equally-sized shower room. This thoughtful design is a welcome move away from traditional all-in-one-bathroom layouts on board. To port you'll find the electrical control panel and extra storage, before moving forward to the inviting master cabin, complete with two hanging lockers.
Uninterrupted Exploration
You'll never run out of resources aboard Denim. Water storage is replenished by the onboard watermaker, and the diesel tanks hold more fuel than any charter will ever require. Power is consistently maintained with over 1000W in solar panel power complementing the engine's generation.
Effortless Performance and Stability
Denim's performance is designed for ease and enjoyment. A self-tacking furler headsail combined with a battened main in a stack pack makes sailing a breeze. Sail controls, including a power-assisted winch with a Makita driver, are conveniently centered around the starboard helm station. Denim is easy to sail short-handed and incredibly stable, offering all the satisfaction of a high-performing yacht. From the helm, you'll have a clear view of the B&G instruments, chart plotter, and engine dials on the start/stop panel. When the wind drops or time is of the essence, the 57hp engine will smoothly propel you forward.
Designed for Exceptional Chartering
Denim's design was commissioned by the owner of Sail Connection to his own brief, drawing on years of experience chartering modern production boats worldwide. The result is a customised monohull solution for family and small group chartering that meets all expectations.
We know you'll love your time aboard Denim, and you'll also love chartering the stunning Bay of Islands and its surrounds.
