Sailing Area

Based at Opito Bay, Kerikeri, Zindabar explores the Bay of Islands, including sheltered bays, beaches, native bush walks and the dramatic Black Rocks basalt formations.

Rig & Sailing Character

Zindabar features a highly modern interpretation of a classic two-masted fore-and-aft rig. In this configuration, the aft mast is the taller or equal mast, placing her within the technical geometry of a modern schooner-style layout.

Unlike traditional heavy timber schooners, Zindabar’s performance comes from modern yacht design and composite construction. The divided sail plan helps distribute sail area into more manageable sections while retaining the feel of a powerful offshore cruiser.

Zindabar accommodates up to six guests in three comfortable double cabins, making her ideal for couples, families or small groups seeking an exclusive Bay of Islands sailing experience.

Below decks, guests enjoy a spacious saloon, a well-equipped galley, refrigeration, and a bathroom with a separate shower. The yacht's cruising-focused interior was designed for extended offshore passages, creating a practical yet comfortable environment for overnight stays at anchor, with a spacious saloon and dining area.

Overnight Charter Experience

An overnight charter aboard Zindabar allows guests to anchor in one of the Bay of Islands' sheltered coves, enjoy dinner on board, watch the sunset over the islands and experience the tranquillity of the bay after day visitors have departed.
