Yacht Charter FAQs

How do I get to Vava'u for a Tonga sailing holiday?

Most international visitors reach Tonga through Fua'amotu International Airport on Tongatapu, which has connections with New Zealand and other Pacific destinations. From there, domestic flights operate to Vava'u, although schedules and services can change.

An alternative is to travel through Nadi in Fiji, which has international connections with New Zealand, Australia, North America and other destinations. Direct flights between Nadi and Vava'u may provide a convenient route, depending on the operating schedule.

Lupepau'u Airport is approximately 20–30 minutes by road from Neiafu, where yacht charters begin. Because regional flight schedules can be subject to change, we recommend allowing some flexibility in your travel arrangements.
