How far in ddvance should we book a Southest Asian charter?
As with most popular sailing destinations, booking early for Southeast Asia provides the widest choice of yachts and the best chance of securing your preferred dates.
For newer catamarans and the most sought-after models, we generally recommend booking six to nine months in advance, particularly if you are travelling during peak season or school holiday periods. The earlier you begin the process, the more options you'll have available.
This is especially important in Thailand because charter fleets are smaller than those found in major Mediterranean destinations. The best boats can therefore become unavailable relatively quickly, particularly during the busiest months.
If you are considering a crewed charter with a skipper, hostess, or chef, early planning is even more important. Availability of quality crew can sometimes become a limiting factor during popular travel periods.
Booking ahead not only secures your preferred yacht but also provides more time to plan flights, itineraries, and any additional experiences you may wish to include in your holiday.
