Yacht Charter FAQs

How long should I allow for a Southeast Asia sailing holiday?

A seven-night charter is a good starting point for most Southeast Asian destinations, although ten to fourteen nights allows more time to explore.

A week provides enough time to enjoy a rewarding island-hopping itinerary without spending every day underway. Phuket, Langkawi, Koh Samui and Koh Chang all offer cruising possibilities suitable for a typical one-week charter.

With ten nights or longer, you can include more distant islands, spend additional time in favourite anchorages and allow greater flexibility for weather or excursions ashore. It particularly allows a Phuket charter to comfortably extend into Malaysian waters.

Some longer itineraries may involve extended passages or additional logistical arrangements. We recommend planning around the places you most want to visit rather than trying to cover too much distance in the available time.
