When is the best time of year to charter in the Balearics?
The Balearic Islands charter season runs from late April through to October. July and August are the busiest months with consistently hot weather, long days and bustling ports. THis time of year is perfect for those wanting to experience the lively summer atmosphere.
For more relaxed holiday sailing and easier marina bookings, the shoulder months of May/June and September/early October are ideal. During these times, the weather remains warm and sunny, sea conditions are typically calm, and there’s more room to move both ashore and at anchor. Winds in the region are generally light to moderate, making it well-suited for cruisers of all levels.
The winter off-season (November to March) is quieter and some services close. Occasional charters can still be arranged, particularly in Mallorca, where infrastructure is more suited to year-round sailing.
