Yacht Charter FAQs

Where can you charter in the Gulf of Thailand?

There are two primary charter regions in the Gulf - Koh Samui (Central Gulf) and Koh Chang (Eastern Gulf).

Out of Koh Samui, the cruising grounds include:

  • Koh Phangan
  • Koh Tao
  • Ang Thong National Marine Park

This is the more established charter area, with a compact island group ideal for one-week itineraries.

Koh Chang (Eastern Gulf) is located near the Cambodian border and cruising grounds include:

  • Koh Mak
  • Koh Kut
  • Numerous small, lightly developed islands
  • Remote anchorages with very little commercial traffic

Koh Chang offers a quieter, more off-the-beaten-track experience.

Both regions are ideal for relaxed tropical cruising. They operate on different seasonal wind patterns, which is what makes the Gulf of Thailand so versatile.
