Catana 47

Catana 47 - Bareboat Catamarans

The Catana 47 Carbon Infusion model is a safe, stable catamaran that is also an excellent sailing performer, with a high comfort level in an interior that makes great use of space. Accommodation comprises four double cabins each with en-suite plus the best forepeak single cabins in a cat of its size.

In its Carbon Infusion cats, Catana uses a building method that replaces heavier fibreglass with lightweight carbon for better performance under sail and a ride all aboard will enjoy.

All Catana 47s are fitted with generator, air conditioning & water-maker. The controls all run aft to the electric winches making reefing of the sizable mainsail an easy process. The dagger boards that give these boats their lateral resistance to allow good windward performance are easily retracted from the cockpit, making getting closer to shore an easy option. The forward sail arrangement includes a generous genaker, which for lighter airs is permanently located on a furler off the bowsprit.

One of the best charter boats to sail aboard while offering great use of space inside as well. The Catana 47's aft cabins form optional twin singles or one large double bed. The forward doubles also provide ample space including good storage. The forward single cabins accessed through deck hatches assume the role of crew quarters when needed, with privacy but also plenty of ventilation with hatches opening above and to each side.

The saloon is fitted with standard central table and seating facing aft to the cockpit. The generous galley has a servery into the cockpit and the navigation station is also well-placed for cockpit access and communication. In the cockpit itself, the big area with large table makes for an open space to gather at the end of a day or seek shelter on passage.
