Leopard 44

This boat has a forward cockpit with direct access from the saloon plus an extended bimini forward, still the only charter catamaran with this design feature. Visibility from & through the saloon is exceptional. Cabins and en-suites are spacious.and while the boat lacks some storage space, how many clothes are needed on a sailing holiday in the sun?

The most noticeable feature of the Leopard 44 is her covered forward cockpit which is accessible from the main saloon for even more space for socialising and relaxing, while also creating cooling breezes into the interior. The glass-front to the saloon provides for excellent vision forward.

All cabins are large and spacious, featuring en-suite shower rooms with separate heads (toilets). The layout provides privacy and space where needed.  Like on the Leopard 384, this boat has low stern hull platforms that make it easy to get in and out the water, and elecric davits that offer stress-free tender launch and recovery.

Sailing the Leopard 44 is unlike sailing a normal catamaran. Not only is she good sailing up wind, but she is also steady downwind with limited roll, ensuring the G & T's stay firmly on the table. Her 360 degree helm station gives complete control from one place, all electronic navigation aids are standard, and there are many additional features including air-conditioning. Like her smaller sister, the 44 also has solar panels for added battery life.

Leopard 44 layout

This boat can be chartered bareboat, skippered by you our client with one of your party as first mate. Or you may wish to leave responsibility for the boat to someone else, by engaging your own skipper and/or crew. We call that "crewed bareboat", and we can arrange that for you too!

At Sail Connections we have access to a pool of contract skippers and crew, and we can chose individuals to suit the dynamics of your charter party. They will navigate you safely between places of interest, and provide excellent guide services along the way, introducing you to local customs, attractions and sites that you might otherwise miss out on experiencing.

If you have special recreational interests your crew will advise on where to go and how to get involved. Their local networks let them know what's happening in your destination, and importantly they have insider info on where to get the best fresh produce from land and sea!

Talk to us about the cost of crewed bareboat. We can quote your bareboat with and without paid crew, and on a partially or fully crewed basis. We can also arrange full advance provisioning of the boat if required. Your contract is directly with the skipper through the charter operator.

When enquiring about this boat, please ask us about a paid crew, and we can discuss all the benefits in more detail.

"The highlight of our Croatia charter was actually having a skipper who could make berthing arrangements at each place we visited. Toni was fantastic. He would also make restaurant recommendations and bookings as well. He took the stress of decision-making away which meant we had a much better experience at each island we visited. Everything flowed!"
